Frustrated already!

I started round 2 this week and I've already frustrated myself. First,
let me start by saying hat I do get my chest and back workout done on
Monday and I am actually on my way to the gym to do shoulders and
arms. So, I have at least done that, but here is where the frustration
begins...

Ihave eaten healthy for the most part on Monday. Yesterday I didn't do
so hot. I had ice cream in the afternoon and then pizza at night. To
make things worse...I finished the pizza off today. I am mentally
ready for the exercise part, but am trying to get it on for the
nutrition.

I can do this!

This is the end

I am utilizing today as my last "hoorah" in the eating like crap
department. Monday is the start of round 2, which means I need to
start eating healthy again. So, I have been enjoying myself today. I
suppose I should enjoy it while it lasts because once Monday comes, I
will be in "X" mode once again.

And so it begins

This past week I was planning on starting the program. I actually ended up missing a couple of days due to work and school, so I didn't get the opportunity to do every workout. It was kind of nice though because it gave me the chance to watch a few of the dvd's and have an idea of what each exercise is and how to do it. Now, I know a lot of people may be confused by that statement, but can anyone tell me what a congdon curl is (without looking it up)? ...Exactly... So, watching the dvd's does help. Even if I plan on doing the workout at the gym rather than at home. I would actually do it all at home if I had dumbells and a pull-up bar. Since I don't, I take the days where I need those things and go to the gym. Other days, like plyometrics or yoga or kenpo, I do at home in front of the tv.

I got a glimpse of everything and will be able to start full force this week. Just because I didn't fully do the program this week doesn't mean I didn't get some good workouts in. My chest and back were the sorest I have ever felt. I couldn't finish the plyometrics routine and my shoulders and arms received a beating as well. So, this program is extreme and I crave more to beat myself up even further.

For those that are interested, there is a forum that I will link here to see some other people's progress or results. It is very motivating!

A Teaser

This afternoon I decided to indulge on the ab ripper x routine. I watched the video first to see what I would be getting myself into. At first glance, I wasn't feeling too worried since the actual video was only 16 minutes. I decided to start it over and give it a shot. Now, keep in mind the video may only be 16 minutes or so, but you are doing over 300 core reps. Not too mention that there aren't any breaks or anything in between sets. Needless to say, I was burnt by the third exercise and struggled to make it to the end. I'll admit that I wasn't able to do a full 25 reps per exercise. As tough as it was, I am really excited to see what kind of results I get.

Well, tomorrow begins the actual program. Up first is Chest and Back, followed by Ab Ripper X. I am feeling a little intimidated right now, but am also excited. Don't be surprised if I cry a little tomorrow.

The Beginning

After many days of researching and talking with a co-worker, I finally broke down and bought the infamous P90x. I had actually heard about it quite awhile back, but thought it was just another home workout video like Taebo. Now don't get me wrong, Billy Blanks had it goin' on for quite some time and many people followed. For me though, it just seemed like the whole "and 1 and 2 and 3 and..." was a little too much. So, when I had heard about P90x I had some of the same thoughts. But, there was something about it that intrigued me. They were guaranteeing extreme results by 90 days. This really caught my attention, but I never researched it to find out how legit it was. I soon forgot about it and went about my merry little way and worked out on my own.

Just a short time ago I was talking with a co-worker about working out and nutrition and such. Somewhere in the conversation he mentioned P90x and my interest was sparked again. I began looking on the internet to find as much information as possible about the "extreme" workout program. The more I searched, the more I found. The more I found, the more interested I became. Finally, I was convinced! Only one problem arose... I didn't want to spend the $150 unless I knew for an absolute fact that it was guaranteed to work. At this point I had found a P90x forum of many people and their success stories. I couldn't help it anymore. I finally made the purchase.

After a few days I received my long anticipated package. I looked over all of the materials and watched the "How to Bring It" video. My plan was to start the program this past Monday, so I watched the first video for the chest and back routine. The chest and back routine is then followed by the ab ripper x routine. To be honest, I am somewhat intimidated. Well, I unfortunately wasn't able to start the program on Monday and I didn't want to start it in the middle of the week. So, I am now waiting for this Sunday. I will not backdown! I will begin!
